Your garden is the piece of earth that you can transform into your own place : coming home to your own garden . What could be nicer than relaxing in your own beautiful garden during or after a busy day? A beautiful garden invites you to enjoy . There are places where you are completely at ease . Everyone has their own needs and wishes . Children want to play, adults might also like a quiet spot to read a book with a cup of coffee.

Interrelatedness

The gardens that I draw are often an intertwined whole of ornamental garden, vegetable garden, play area for children, chickens, dog and sheep, fireplace, orchard... In a successful design, this merges into one large coherent whole: your dream place . A narrow vista and winding paths arouse curiosity and continue to surprise.

Organic shapes

“By nature” I often draw organic (read round and rounded) shapes in garden designs, which I think stimulate the senses more and invite more to enjoy .

Ecology

Ecology and sustainability are so self-evident to me that I almost forgot to mention it! Your garden is your own piece of earth that you can and may take care of . The design is ecological in the sense that it ensures that the management of the garden is adapted to the possibilities and wishes of the owner. The soil is covered as much as possible so that less weed growth is possible. When choosing plants, I choose species that feel at home in the garden , adapted to the soil and climate.

Dynamics

Gardens are dynamic and ever-changing . I choose plants, shrubs and trees that are adapted to the size of the garden, the soil and the amount of light. Trees and shrubs that can grow to their full size are such a great added value in a garden. I also think it is important to clearly express the seasons in the garden, which has a very grounding effect (read: less boring!). A garden as a living being!
